Centering Pregnancy: Nurse-Midwife
The Combest Center is the only certified Centering Center in Lubbock. Centering Pregnancy is prenatal care that includes your regular health check-ups with additional time for learning and sharing. You do some of your own care. There will be group discussions and activities. Snacks are provided and there is time for sharing with other group members in a relaxed and fun setting.

Prenatal care is now being offered at the Larry Combest Community Health & Wellness
Center! This service is provided by a Certified Nurse Midwife /Women’s Health Nurse
Practitioner and a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner in collaboration

Sandra Eastling, CNM
Sandra Eastling comes from a background of more than 15 years in labor and delivery units and in Public Health nursing. She graduated from Georgetown University with her master's Degree in certified Nurse-Midwifery and as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. She is very excited about being able to offer personalized prenatal care and covering Women's Health issues at the Larry Combest Community Health and Wellness Center. CenteringPregnancy as well as traditional prenatal care are offered.
Yondell Masten, WHNP-BC
Dr. Masten received her Ph.D. in engineering from Texas Tech University. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing in maternal/child nursing from the University of Texas at Austin and a post-master's certificate as a women's health nurse practitioner from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. Masten's research focuses on prenatal education, adolescent pregnancy and women's health. Her recent projects include co-directing the Nurse-Family Partnership and the Patient Navigator Program at the Larry Combest Community Health & Wellness Center.
