About
The mission of the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ) is to support our Values-Based Culture and assist veterans and military families through programs, policies, and practices for achieving academic, personal, and professional success.
Sara Maxson Sara Maxson has been with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ) since 2016, when she moved to Lubbock after serving 6 years in the U.S. Navy. Sara is now the Director of the Veterans Resource Center (VRC) at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ, and performs the role of School Certifying Official(SCO), processing VA and Hazlewood benefits for military-connected students. She continuously seeks professional development to remain current on issues relevant to veterans and their families, especially those in higher education. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management and Master of Education in Higher Education Administration. Sara loves spending her spare time with her family, golfing and swimming, and taking the dogs to the park. |
