Each of 泫圖弝け's six schools promote student success by providing career development to their students. Opportunities include resume and cover letter critiques, mock interviews, personal statement critiques, salary negotiation assistance, and career events. Please check in with your respective school for assistance in identifying your marketable skills and career development needs. Below are instructions on how to get connected to Career Advice:
1. Set up a account.
2. Go to your Dashboard on your LinkedIn profile and click the Career Advice hub.
3. Click on Career Advice and turn on the advice platform.

5. Choose area of expertise and industry sector.
6. Enter topics you would like to receive advice on.
7. Read Terms and Conditions, click agree, then click finish.
As soon as preferences are entered, LinkedIn's matching algorithm will send recommendations for matches. If you have multiple requests out, you can swipe to see all the matches. If you select someone who is a match, they will get a message immediately, notifying them of your interest to connect. Once both parties agree, use either LinkedIn's platform or take the conversation offline.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Be aware of each school's requirements and application deadlines (some schools will
require you to apply with the university in general as well as with the specific college
department).

If you have any questions about the university, the individual program and/or application
process, call the specific university department for the program of your choice.
Visit the school and talk to faculty and current students in the program.
The personal statement distinguishes you from other candidates and gives the panel
information on "who you are." This is your opportunity to sell yourself to the school.
It is all about you, them, and where you both can go.
1. Formal writing is expected. Be sure to always use proper grammar.
2. Be creative and grab attention with your opening paragraph.
3. Narrow the focus not too many ideas.
4. Make yourself stand out by being honest and stating your truth.
5. Answer the questions exactly and carefully. Take time for serious reflection.
6. Be sure to include personality factors, history, successes, failure, and academics.
7. Sometimes simple is best.
8. Provide passion, but more importantly provide persuasiveness.
9. Proofread, proofread, proofread!
