Managed Care
Leadership Update
On September 1, we entered a new fiscal year at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ. President Rice-Spearman released the new Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Strategic Plan, which will guide our work through 2027. Managed Care has an important role to play in Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ’s vision to transform healthcare through innovation and collaboration. We encourage all Managed Care staff members to read the full Strategic Plan here.
This year, Managed Care will invest over $750,000 to install fiber-optic internet at our units. Switching to fiber will enhance the speed and reliability of our broadband connection. We are excited about this investment and the impact it will have on daily operations throughout our sector.
We appreciate everyone’s continued efforts in slowing the spread of COVID-19. On August 23, the FDA completed their thorough review of the Pfizer vaccine and granted full approval. Widespread vaccination continues to be our best defense against COVID-19 and the delta variant. If you would like to receive the COVID vaccine, please contact your unit ICN or your healthcare provider.
Recently, the CDC recommended that moderately to severely immunocompromised people receive an additional dose of the mRNA COVID vaccine. We will provide this booster vaccine to patients and staff members who meet this criteria. At this time, the CDC does not recommend an additional dose for any other population. You can learn more about booster vaccines .
We had several new team members join us in August. If you have a new team member on your unit, please take a moment to welcome them to Managed Care!
