Resident Wellness Curriculum
Hello Surgery Residents!
The Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ General Surgery Wellness Program is an employee-focused program that offers education, fitness, nutrition and work stress management.
Regular educational lessons include topics such as:
- Goal Setting
- Stress Reduction Techniques and Resources
- Fatigue Mitigation and Management
- Team Building
- Work Life Integration
- Mindfulness for the Surgeon
- Posture and Ergonomics
- Strategic Diet, Exercise and Sleep
- Goals/Visions
A formal mentoring program is also a part of the wellness program. Each resident is assigned a faculty mentor as they enter the program. This program is to encourage and foster growth of each resident as they progress through the program and prepare for life after graduation.
Don’t forget to check out the healthy and nutritious snacks we provide in the resident breakroom. This, in addition to the monthly meal card allowance, is to keep our residents full during their busy days.
Enjoy!
Join us! The running club.
Walkers/joggers/runners all welcome!
