Developing Global Learning Virtual Exchange
Faculty Resources & Virtual Exchange Tool Kit
The resources provided below have been designed to support faculty interested in developing a virtual exchange for Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ students with students or communities abroad.
Purpose: Review the guide prior to developing a virtual exchange. The guide includes an overview of virtual exchange, helpful definitions, thoughtful considerations for developing a successful virtual exchange, and various resource links.
Purpose: Complete the four-step proposal process and route for approvals, as applicable, prior to developing a virtual exchange. Be advised that multiple approvals are required.
The four-step proposal includes the following steps:
- Step 1: Preliminary Proposal
- Description: An overview of the proposed virtual exchange.
- Due date: 90 days prior to exchange
- Routing for approval is required.
- Step 2: Proposal
- Description: Detailed information about the online experience. To be discussed and completed with collaborative partner.
- Due date: none
- Routing for approval is not required. For your records. Complete at your own pace.
- Step 3: Pre-implementation Summary
- Description: Summary of the final online experience to be offered.
- Due date: 30 days prior to exchange
- Routing for approval is required.
- Step 4: Post-implementation Summary
- Description: Summary of completed online experience.
- Due date: 30 days after conclusion of virtual exchange
- Email to appropriate designated individuals
