The Texas Tech University System Board of Regents and Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., announced today (June 5) the official appointment of Lori Rice-Spearman, Ph.D., as the ninth president of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ).

Rice-Spearman, a native of Odessa, Texas, becomes not only the first female president in Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ’s 51-year history, but also in the history of all four universities within the TTU System.
