Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Expert and Infectious Disease Doctor Says They Will Save Lives
Differences of opinion and resulting decisions are the mainstay of this country’s democracy, and debate is a healthy and beneficial process. Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ) infectious disease physician Steven L. Berk, M.D., says no one is likely to die today because of one’s own individual viewpoint, with a recent exception – choosing to not wear a mask, a controversy that goes beyond politics, arguments and opinions.
Berk, who is also the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ executive vice president and School of Medicine dean, says the most important thing to remember during this pandemic is – wearing masks does save lives.
