Enhancing the Wellbeing of Our Communities

The F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health exists to work in collaboration with the people of West Texas for the advancement of health through imaginative and scholarly research, innovative use of technology, comprehensive education and outreach. To accomplish this mission, the Institute

  • Serves as a resource to the people of West Texas for improving their health and well-being
  • Engages in partnerships that will empower, equip and sustain positive steps to better health outcomes
  • Seeks to discover, apply and disseminate knowledge to improve rural health
  • Champions research and scholarly activities that focus on rural health
