Teaching and Learning Curriculum (TLC) Program
The goal of the TLC Program is to provide a formal training program for Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ School of Pharmacy and affiliate PGY-1 and PGY-2 pharmacy residents to gain knowledge and to demonstrate effectiveness in the areas of teaching and scholarship.
Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ School of Pharmacy and affiliate residents have the option to participate in the TLC program. A certificate of completion will be awarded to all participants who successfully complete each of the three components of the program.
Component 1: Seminars and assignments
Program participants are required to attend and participate in all formal seminars. Seminar topics include (but are not limited to): learning styles, creating a course syllabus, developing teaching cases, developing learning objectives and assessment questions, precepting students, and student professionalism.
Component 2: Teaching experience
- Provide two one-hour formal presentations
- Provide other teaching experiences (minimum 15 hours)
Component 3: Develop a teaching portfolio
