How to Become A Preceptor

Texas State Board of Pharmacy Preceptor Requirements

To become a preceptor in Texas, you must meet all requirements established by section 283.6 of the Texas Pharmacy Rules. You must have three (3) hours of continuing pharmacy education every two (2) years that is specific to precepting students. For additional information, please refer to: TSBP Agreement for Preceptor.

To become a preceptor for Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy students please complete the required 3 hours of preceptor continuing pharmacy education and complete the Experiential Program Site Profile Form. Please send the completed Site Profile Form to Jean Haynes (jean.haynes@ttuhsc.edu).

How to Receive an Academic Adjunct Faculty Title

  • Desire to precept or assist in the educational experiences of Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy students at one of our experiential program sites.
  • Submit a CV or resume to local campus Office of Experiential Programs staff.
  • We will request your social security number and date of birth to process your information through HR.
  • Once your information is processed through HR, you will receive your Academic Adjunct Faculty Title which will provide you access to the online library resources.
