Mia Myers, M.Ed., FAAC
Interim Managing Director
Mia Myers serves as Associate Managing Director of Student Financial Aid. Mia began her Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ financial aid career in 1995 and has nearly 30 years of financial aid experience. She is a member of the National, Texas and Regional financial aid associations. She has served many different financial aid roles throughout her time in Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Student Financial Aid. During this time, she has worked with students from all Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ programs, overseen Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Scholarship processing, federal, state and private loan processing, and other financial aid operations. Mia earned both her Bachelors in General Business and Masters in Higher Education from Texas Tech University. She enjoys spending her free time with her family.
Lena Hooker, M.Ed., FAAC
Assistant Director
Lena Hooker started in financial aid at South Plains College in 2008, and have been supporting Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ students since 2015. She is a proud mom of a daughter and son, and when not at work, loves spending time with family and catching up with friends. Her role encompasses several areas including Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) review, Financial Aid Verification review, Texas Grant Processing, MSN/MBA Dual Degree financial aid coordination, and Private Loan disbursements. She is privileged to work with students across all six schools at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ, ensuring that students receive the financial assistance they need to pursue their educational goals.

Jennifer Fauls, M. Ed.
Assistant Director of Financial Aid Scholarships
Jennifer Fauls began her career in higher education at Texas Tech University and has 18 years of combined experience in financial aid. She is dedicated to assisting students and enjoys helping them achieve their goals. In her current role, Jennifer’s primary focus is scholarship administration and reporting. Jennifer earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Texas Tech University and is a proud alum.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and tackling home improvement projects.
Melissa Mullins
Senior Advisor
Melissa P. Mullins is a Senior Financial Aid Administrator at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with 12 years of combined experience helping undergraduate and graduate students navigate through the financial aid process. Melissa is passionate about providing all students with the best financial aid experience and customer service. She specializes in processing Return of Title IV funding due to a withdrawal or leave of absence, reviewing & processing TASFA application for Texas residents who do not qualify for the FAFSA and finalizing the certification of Private Loans.

Ashley Walker
Senior Advisor
Ashley Walker has been employed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center since 2017. She attended West Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University. She loves being a part of the Financial Aid team and assisting students with making the best financial decisions possible. She specifically focuses on processing Budget Revisions, Unusual Enrollment History, Military Housing and reviewing Citizenship requirements. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and dog down at their ranch, playing pool in the APA League and vacationing when possible.
Neena Vega
Advisor
Neena Vega has been with the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ for six years now and her roles have involved working along various individuals including administration, nurses, physicians and students. She has gained experience in areas such as customer service, supervision and reporting. Her duties include processing the professional judgement requests, handling external private scholarship processing, and assisting all HSC students as needed via phone, email or in person. In her spare time, she loves reading novels, writing stories and spending quality time with family.
