Nestled in the heart of the Big Country, the Abilene campus stands as a vibrant center for healthcare education and cutting-edge research. Its strategic location next to Hendrick Health allows students to easily walk from campus to complete clinical rotations.
Abilene proudly serves as the administrative home for the newly established Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health, featuring the Graduate Certificate in Public Health.
The Abilene campus is also committed to training the next generation of pharmacists. The Jerry H. Hodge School of Pharmacy proudly offers the Doctor of Pharmacy program. The School of Pharmacy provides a robust academic foundation, as well as hands-on clinical exposure under the guidance of seasoned faculty and healthcare professionals.
Educating nurses for the future is also a primary focus for the Abilene campus. The School of Nursing provides students with the opportunity to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with clinical learning opportunities for students pursuing the RN to BSN, Traditional BSN, and Accelerated BSN degrees in Abilene.
The Abilene campus also provides students with the opportunity to pursue a Biotechnology M.S. and a Pharmaceutical Sciences Ph.D. via the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. Abilene is recognized as a research hub, particularly in the field of precision oncology therapeutics, due to its interdisciplinary research with the Department of Immunotherapeutics and Biotechnology.
