Hand Hygiene
Your best line of defense against a virus is right at your fingertips — clean hands
prevent spread of disease.
Hand Hygiene
-
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
-
Cover your mouth with tissues whenever sneezing, and discard used tissues in the trash. If a tissue is not available, sneeze or cough into your elbow or upper sleeve, not into your hands.
-
If soap and water are not readily available, use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol. Cover all surfaces of your hands and rub them together until they feel dry.
-
Additional hand sanitizer stations are provided throughout our campuses.
-
Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands.
-
Refrain from shaking hands.
-
Use telephone and video conferencing instead of face-to-face study sessions or group meetings.
-
Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces such as cell phones, laptops, iPads, etc. with manufacturer-approved wipes and cleaning solutions.
