Presidential Communications
Dear Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Community,
Several of Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center's social media posts have featured front-line team members with the tag line, "As the world steps back, ..."
I want to apply this tag line — with a little artistic license — to today's Town Hall: As the world steps back, Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ steps up. While the social media posts highlight the individual roles in our university's diverse health care workforce, I believe the tag line also accurately describes our collaborative efforts that are making a difference during this pandemic.

In today’s Town Hall, I want to highlight several of the initiatives and collaborations Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ has launched during COVID-19, including the West Texas 3D COVID-19 Relief Consortium, viral transport medium, and PPE decontamination. Representatives from these collaboratives will share information about the widespread impact of these efforts in caring for those in our communities and beyond.
Warmest regards,
Lori Rice-Spearman, Ph.D.
