Fighting Hunger at Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ: The Helping Hands Food Pantry
The Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ and our local communities stand together to combat food insecurity for our students, staff, and faculty. Through the Helping Hands Food Pantry, we work to ensure our Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ family members have access to nutritious food. The IT Division, under the leadership of CIO Vince Fell, is the executive sponsor for Helping Hands.

Food pantries are always in need of non-perishable items that are nutritious and easy to prepare. Here are some great options: Canned or dry beans, Peanut butter or other nut butters, Rolled oats or whole grain, Cereals, Canned fruit in juice, Canned vegetables, Canned tuna in water, Canned chicken, Seeds or nuts, Shelf stable milk and milk substitutes, Apple sauce, Oatmeal, Granola Bars, Crackers, Pop Tarts, Nutrition Bars, Pasta Sauce, Pasta - all varieties, Rice, and Pancake Mix.

- Select "Search for Specific Fund or "Other" if fund is unknown"
- Search "Helping Hands"
- Select "Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Helping Hands Food Pantry"
- Then complete your donation with amount and a form of payment.
SNAP Benefits
The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutritious food essential to health and well-being.
Now students enrolled at least half-time can be considered (along with other qualifying requirements) for SNAP benefits.

Community Partner, Providing Nourishment
Breedlove is a commercial-sized nonprofit food processor dedicated to humanitarian aid. In the United States and in more than 70 countries around the world, Breedlove provides food for the world's hungry. Breedlove's food is utilized in a variety of settings such as school feeding programs, refugee camps, disaster relief operations, maternal and child health programs, famine relief programs, and other humanitarian aid efforts.
