Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ professor helps define new blood pressure guidelines

Eric MacLaughlin, Pharm.D., was a member of the interdisciplinary committee that worked on the new blood pressure guidelines released recently by the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association. 


Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ students participate in WISE 2017

Medical, health professions and pharmacy students in Amarillo shared their passion for science with local middle school and high school girls Nov. 11 at the 2017 Women in Science Endeavors (WISE) Symposium at Amarillo College. 


Three Amarillo faculty honored

In conjunction with his annual State of the University Address in Lubbock, three faculty members from the Amarillo campus were among those recognized by TTU System Chancellor Tedd L. Mitchell, M.D., for their exceptional efforts in the clinic and the classroom. 


National Memory Screening Day

The Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Department of Internal Medicine in Amarillo annually offers free memory screenings in conjunction with National Memory Screening Day. This year, the department conducted approximately 60 no-cost screenings. 


Amarillo researchers identify promising compounds to treat neurodegenerative diseases

New compounds designed and synthesized in the lab of Paul Trippier, Ph.D., show the effects of protecting human neurons from a form of cell death common in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. 


Amarillo campus salutes veterans

To commemorate Veteran’s Day, some of the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ veterans on the Amarillo campus attended a small reception Nov. 10 where they were recognized for their service to our country. 


Unexpected: Skills for Coping with Cancer

Survivors, family and friends will learn effective cancer coping skills via the 6 stages of The Change Cycle Model at an event supported by the Ìð¹ÏÊÓƵ Breast Center of Excellence
